SoftBank's "UWB Indoor Positioning Service" is a positioning solution that utilizes UWB positioning technology to accurately determine the location of people, objects, and mobility in indoor environments. It calculates the distance based on the time of flight of radio waves between tags and anchors, allowing for the positioning of tags. Even in indoor or non-satellite environments where GPS signals are weak, it can visualize the location information of workers, forklifts, transport vehicles, and indoor autonomous robots. The acquired location information can be used for understanding the positions of workers, parts, and mobility, analyzing operational metrics such as movement distance and dwell time, detecting and notifying intrusions into hazardous areas via geofencing, and controlling AMR transport and ensuring safety in mixed robot environments.
